Asta e o veste foarte buna. Cu DLSS Metro Exodus va putea fi jucat in 4k si cu RTX 2060, chiar daca nu pe setari la maxim... ;D

Nu e doar marketing, chiar da rezultate deosebite.
Cand se apeleaza la DLSS, imaginea e randata la o rezolutie inferioara (ex. 1440p) pe care s-a aplicat o formula de AA agresiv (care face imaginea cu contururi bine rotunjite dar "moale"), iar apoi se face o reconstructie de imagine la o rezolutie superioara (ex. 4k) folosind nucleele dedicate din cipurile RTX, reconstructie care se bazeaza pe niste algoritmi furnizati prin drivere si obtinuti in urma unor procese de analiza a imaginii in supercomputere cu AI/DL, pe baza texturilor de inalta rezolutie furnizate de producatorii jocurilor.

In final se obtine o imagine la rezolutia dorita, cu o calitate foarte buna, care pare ca are aplicata o formula avansata de AA, dar la care in loc sa scada FPS-ul precum s-ar intampla daca s-ar aplica un AA agresiv, are in plus si un spor de performanta/fps de ~30%.

Am zis, ce frumoasa este atmosfera si chiar se vede amprenta iluminării asupra ambientului, mai ales cu acea candela posomorâta din epava distrusa de sub luna... Surpriza însă, nu este nici vorba de ray-tracing.

Cine zice ca nu-i vorba de Ray-Tracing? E vorba ca in jocul asta si iluminarea traditionala e foarte impresionanta.

"Looking at our RTX on-vs-off screenshot comparisons, we can see that lighting is much more accurate, and suddenly you realize how wrong these effects can look when implemented in the traditional way. Nevertheless, even with RTX off, lighting in Metro Exodus looks phenomenal, which makes it hard for RTX to improve the experience even further." (techpowerup)

Curios... sunt oamenii asa informați in privința ray-tracing-ului încât nu considera ca fiind ceva nou or something. Poate cei de la AMD nu au greșit ca nu se "grăbesc" cu lansări noi

Huang a declarat ca Nvidia coopereaza cu producatorii de jocuri ca sa implementeze RT si DLSS in toate jocurile care urmeaza sa fie lansate (probabil nu chiar toate, dar toate cele cotate ca fiind de interes).
