Polish CD Projekt RED has informed in a press release that their anticipated, futuristic RPG – Cyberpunk 2077 – won’t be released on April 16, 2020. Unfortunately, but not unexpectedly, we’ll have to wait until September 17. The reason for the release is the studio’s wish to ensure proper quality of their game.

A post on ResetEra recaps a CD Projekt RED 2019 Financial Results Teleconference where one of the topics covered by the Polish developer is the status of Cyberpunk 2077. At this time they indicate the COVID-19 situation does not seem to be endangering the projected September 17th release date for the eagerly anticipated RPG. Here's word:
I listened to the whole thing and made a breakdown of all the important points during the Q&A:
Quote
The virus isn't going to affect release [it shouldn't].
They have obtained the vast majority of ratings for the game already. The game was submitted for rating earlier in March, and by now they have obtained the vast majority of ratings, so there is no risk of them not obtaining ratings for the game in any of the major markets.
Some things like pick-up sessions for voice actors will be inserted into the game via a day-1 patch if the virus situation prevents actors from going to a recording studio.
Marketing scenario due to the virus has been decided upon since mid-February. They are working on a digital strategy to replace their E3 2020 content and presentation.
Retail [physical copies] referring to stores closing they are looking at the global situation and "hope for the better" that things will change by September. They have scenarios in place for different world events. Digital release on launch is one of them. No major shifts in current plans at the moment.
The Spokko mobile title is still not being talked about. It's playable and being internally tested.
Postponed game launches [Like TLOU2] are being considered - mainly TLOU2 - not really worried about the September 17th release due to other games being pushed near there. Not planning to move the September 17th date regardless of other games being pushed to September.
They are not disclosing details on Cyberpunk 2077 preorders, but they are happy in the way they are progressing. "It has always been the plan not to share the specifics on that".
New titles [Cyberpunk multiplayer] will be talked about after Cyberpunk 2077 releases. More will be revealed then, as they want to focus on releasing Cyberpunk 2077 first. They keep hiring and growing the teams for their games. At the end of 2019 through the first quarters of 2020 they had expenses for localization and testing.
600 people are working on Cyberpunk 2077. Some members from the multiplayer team are helping to finish the game. Majority of the CDPR studios are working on the single player Cyberpunk 2077 [main game].
They are very comfortable with the release date. All that is left to do is lots of small things - certification from first party, the day-zero patch and fixing/polishing. The game is in a complete form - it's done. It's all about fixing and polishing until September and then all that's left is manufacturing. Some manufacturing has already commenced.
Manufacturing physical copies of Cyberpunk 2077 is not going to be impeded in any way. It is already underway in some form. Physical manufacturing is still occuring for other games from other companies. The impact of the virus is less than they thought on the manufacturing side. There is no foreseeable damage on the manufactuirng/shipping side of things. They hope that September is going to be better than now for everyone.
Current testing of Cyberpunk 2077 is currently being undertaken by both internal and external testers. External testers work from their homes through VPN and are double the amount they used from The Witcher 3.
Preorders of Cyberpunk 2077 on consoles are lower than PC. Console numbers are impeded by the console platform holders not paying advances on incentives. This really surprised me as I thought that there would be more preorders on consoles - but this is due to them not having accurate numbers to reflect the console preorders yet.
They have next-gen dev kits. Smart delivery will be used for a free, next-gen update on Xbox Series X when that version of Cyberpunk 2077 is available. No word on free next-gen update on PS5. There will be a separate sku for the next-gen version, which will be available later on. They can't comment on other first party policies [Sony/PS5].

Jocul va avea posibilitatea de benchmarks in 8k la putin timp dupa lansare. Asta sugereaza ca pana atunci vor fi pe piata o parte din noua generatie de placi video si ca acestea vor avea conexiunile HDMI 2.1. necesare.

Majoritatea jocurilor pot rula in 8K si in prezent, deci de ce ai tras concluzia aia?
