Recently there has been some discussion about the EVGA GeForce RTX 3080 series.
 
During our mass production QC testing we discovered a full 6 POSCAPs solution cannot pass the real world applications testing. It took almost a week of R&D effort to find the cause and reduce the POSCAPs to 4 and add 20 MLCC caps prior to shipping production boards, this is why the EVGA GeForce RTX 3080 FTW3 series was delayed at launch. There were no 6 POSCAP production EVGA GeForce RTX 3080 FTW3 boards shipped.
 
But, due to the time crunch, some of the reviewers were sent a pre-production version with 6 POSCAP’s, we are working with those reviewers directly to replace their boards with production versions.
EVGA GeForce RTX 3080 XC3 series with 5 POSCAPs + 10 MLCC solution is matched with the XC3 spec without issues.
 
Also note that we have updated the product pictures at EVGA.com to reflect the production components that shipped to gamers and enthusiasts since day 1 of product launch.

Deci problema a fost identificatas si se rezolva. De unde rezulta ca stocuri mai serioase vor fi doar din jurul datei de 15 octombrie.

Un reprezentant AMD (Frank Azor, Chief Architect of Gaming Solutions) a declarat oficial ca placile AMD vor fi disponibile in cantitati mult mai mari decat in cazul Nvidia, chiar din ziua lansarii, deci din 28 octombrie.

Asta nu inseamna ca vor fi destule, dar vor fi in ziua lansarii.

E exact pe dos, exceptiile sunt cele in care sunt legate. Din principiu se pot activa si dezactiva separat.

Ray Tracing si DLSS sunt procese complet diferite, n-au nimic in comun. DLSS se aplica peste randarea cu sau fara RT. DLSS se bazeaza pe DLNN (Deep Learning Neural Network) pentru reconstructia imaginii (nu simpla scalare) la rezolutie mai mare.

DLSS-ul n-a fost creat in mod special pentru a ajuta RT-ul.

Nu e nimic nou si necunosct referitor la RTX 3090.
Va fi cu adevarat interesanta lansarea RTX 3070.

De fapt va fi si mai interesanta lansarea RTX 3070S/Ti, probabil in prima jumatate a lunii noiembrie, cu performanta ~10% peste 2080 Ti, 16GB VRAM, un TDP rezonabil ~260W, dar la un pret apropiat de RTX 3080, respectiv MSRP anticipat 649$/EURO/ 3200 Lei. 

Downclock + Power Limit la 90-80% ar trebui sa rezolve problema. Pierderea de performanta e minora, dar scade mult consumul si temperaturile.

Au mai ras si altii prin 2014 cand am fost printre cei <0,05% care si-au luat TV 4k...
